Job summary

S&S Activewear in Reading, PA is seeking an Assistant Automation Technician/Maintenance role to maintain and repair automated equipment, robots, and related systems. The position involves preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure high uptime and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma with 6 months of similar maintenance experience, plus mechanical and electrical maintenance aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 6 months experience in a similar maintenance position preferred.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Understand mechanical tools and some electrical tools.
• Ability to read and understand documents written in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all automated equipment as scheduled and directed.
• Carry out scheduled robotic and facilities equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Evaluate/diagnose and perform repairs on automation equipment not functioning properly.
• Document and communicate all preventative maintenance and repair activities daily.
• Responsible for all spare parts inventory usage and accuracy, provide weekly summary.
• Adjust work schedule to accommodate business needs and outside-normal-operations tasks.
• Coordinate with operations team to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and protect tools and diagnostic devices.
