The Robotics Engineering Manager will lead Universal Logistics Holdings’ engineering organization responsible for advancing automation systems across operations and customer facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, robotics, or automation engineering.
• 7+ years in robotics or automation with complex project delivery.
• 3+ years leading engineers or cross-functional automation programs, with accountability for results.
• Experience managing customer requirements, scope, schedules, budgets, and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel to support project development, design reviews, and launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead, build, and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team for warehouse robotics and automation systems.
• Recruit, coach, and retain engineers; set objectives, accountability, and career plans.
• Serve as senior technical and customer interface; develop automation roadmaps and align scope with business cases.
• Own the engineering portfolio from RFQs/SOWs to handoff; manage priorities, timing, and escalations.
• Manage budgets, capital estimates, forecasts, and supplier relationships to optimize ROI.
• Provide technical governance across robotics, AMR/AGV, ASRS, vision, controls, safety, and IT/OT integration.
