Job summary

NEXXTA is seeking an Automation Engineer to focus on automation implementation for injection molding, owning troubleshooting of secondary ops and establishing/executing assembly processes and equipment.

Responsibilities include leading robotic work cells from concept to turnover, partnering with vendors, training technicians, and maintaining documentation to support continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a logical, analytical mindset.
• Experience with robotics, PLCs, and CAD tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation implementation on the molding floor (cobots, pickers, conveyors).
• Develop, install, and program robotic work cells from concept to turnover.
• Troubleshoot secondary ops (pad printing, laser engraving, sonic welding).
• Collaborate with estimators on assembly/automation opportunities and implement changes.
• Train production technicians and maintenance staff on troubleshooting and documentation.
