Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando seeks an experienced Robotics Engineer to join our innovation organization. You will design, develop, and implement automated systems to improve productivity and efficiency across manufacturing environments.

You will deploy learning-based autonomy, integrate software with physical robot hardware, ensure reliability and safety, and help transition processes from manual to robotized operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial robots in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of major robot platforms and ecosystem components.
• Deep understanding of safety standards, risk assessment, and industrial compliance.
• Experience with commissioning, debugging, and production support of robotic systems.
• Ability to translate operational needs into robotic solutions.
• Experience in laboratories, test facilities and research facilities conducting R&D projects.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy safe, scalable autonomy systems for factory and field use.
• Integrate, test, and debug autonomy software with robot hardware.
• Ensure robotics solutions are reliable, scalable, and fit-for-purpose.
• Drive selection and application of robotic technologies.
• Support transition from manual to robotized operations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues to enhance performance.
