Job summary

Almond is building the physical interface for AI. You’ll be assembling Axol robots, including mechanical structures, wiring, and enclosures, and working closely with engineering to improve reliability, speed, and quality.

This hands-on role requires practical assembly experience in robotics or hardware, strong attention to detail, and the ability to debug and iterate on designs in a fast-paced environment onsite.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of hands-on assembly or technician experience (robotics, hardware, automotive, aerospace, or similar)
• Strong mechanical intuition and attention to detail
• Experience with hand tools, fasteners, torque specs, and basic fabrication
• Comfort working with wiring, connectors, and cable routing
• Ability to debug issues and follow problems through to resolution
• Willingness to work onsite and move quickly in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assemble Axol robots, including mechanical structures, wiring, and enclosures
• Perform bring-up, testing, and basic debugging of robot systems
• Follow and improve assembly procedures, work instructions, and checklists
• Identify and flag issues during builds (fit, tolerance, wiring, reliability)
• Work closely with engineers to iterate on designs
• Support prototyping, rework, and small-batch production builds
• Help manage parts, tools, and build organization on the floor
• Track, audit, and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency
