Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Inbolt is seeking a Senior Robotics Application Engineer to own the most demanding deployments in the US. You will serve as the primary field liaison with plant teams and decision-makers, guiding projects from scoping through to a robust production rollout.
The role requires hands-on robotics programming, strong Python coding, and experience coordinating multi-stakeholder deployments in industrial environments. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected as projects demand.
Inbolt builds computer vision solutions that give industrial robots the ability to adapt in real time to their environment, right where traditional automation hits its limits. Our systems are already running in production at major industrial companies, and we’re scaling fast: every new deployment needs to be faster, more robust, and more autonomous than the last.
We’re looking for a Senior Robotics Application Engineer to take ownership of our most demanding deployments in the US: someone who has already seen what "it doesn’t work in production" actually means, knows why, and knows how to prevent it next time.
This role is especially suited to robotics integrator profiles used to running complex projects end-to-end, at demanding industrial sites, with multiple stakeholders and real production constraints.
You’re the point of contact between Inbolt and its industrial customers in the field, with real decision-making latitude:
Own deployments end-to-end: from the first scoping call to a stable production rollout, including installation, integration, and validation, you’re accountable for the outcome, not just the execution.
Be the senior client contact: lead strategic meetings, manage expectations, defuse tension when a deployment gets complicated, and build lasting trust with plant teams and decision-makers.
Design and improve deployment processes: identify what’s slowing down an installation or weakening a production rollout, and evolve our methods accordingly.
Diagnose the hard cases: when an issue resists a first pass of analysis, you’re the one people turn to, structuring the investigation, escalating the right information to engineering, and proposing concrete fixes.
Mentor and share knowledge: help junior engineers grow in the field, and spread integration best practices across the team.
Travel regularly to customer sites, with full autonomy over managing your own schedule and priorities
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial robotics, systems integration, or customer deployment, ideally as a robotics integrator having run complex projects from A to Z
Strong command of programming industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, UR, or equivalent), including multi-robot cells or non-standard integrations
Strong Python skills, with a genuine focus on code quality, stability, and maintainability
Concrete experience managing client projects with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals as applied to robotics
Real field experience: you’ve already managed a deployment that didn’t go as planned, and you can tell the story of how you turned it around
This role demands a level of autonomy and perspective that only field experience gives you:End-to-end ownership: you think in terms of the project, not the task. From kick-off to handover, you’re accountable for the outcome and you own it.Pragmatism and decisiveness: on-site, you often have to make calls fast with incomplete information. You know how to weigh the risk and move forward, without waiting for sign-off on every micro-decision.Structured problem-solving: faced with a complex failure, you don’t guess your way through, you structure your diagnosis, isolate possible causes, and communicate progress clearly, both internally and to the customer.High standards: you don’t consider a deployment done until it’s stable and robust , not just “working on demo day.”Deep-tech / manufacturing mindset: you understand the real constraints of a production line (throughput, safety, zero tolerance for downtime), and you design your solutions with that in mind from the start.
