Job summary

Flexxbotics is seeking a hands-on engineer to support and integrate robotics software with industrial hardware. You will design interfaces, program robots, and help customers deploy high-performance automation in real-world environments.

You will collaborate across disciplines, research new technologies, and travel to customer sites to install, test, and support solutions that expand manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Software, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years in a support or applications role.
  • Strong technical background in software and electronics.
  • Experience with 6-axis robot arms, industrial equipment, and/or control systems.
  • Willingness to travel and perform technical integrations at customer sites.
  • Ability to communicate technical challenges with customers.
  • Ability to invent novel solutions to challenging problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software communication interfaces for complex industrial equipment.
  • Develop software to simplify the robot integration process.
  • Expand the capabilities of manufacturing equipment in an integrated manufacturing workcell.
  • Generate ideas for product innovation based on customer feedback.
  • Program robots in high performance manufacturing environments.
  • Keep up with advancements in systems engineering and new technologies.
  • Assist with creation of in-house integration tools and continuous integration infrastructure.
  • Providing clients with onsite and remote technical support.
  • Operate outside your area of direct expertise to solve hard problems with the rest of our cross-disciplinary team.

You Will

You Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Software, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Ability to research unknown technologies to build ground up novel solutions.
  • Ability to innovate integration solutions for proprietary hardware protocols.
  • Willingness to travel and perform technical integrations at customer sites.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on technical challenges with customers.
  • Ability to invent novel solutions to challenging technical problems.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with CNC machines.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Commercial experience.
