Job summary

RoboForce in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Model Evaluation Operator for AI robotics. This contractor role focuses on evaluating robotic AI systems through real-world testing workflows, running model inferences on real robots, and collecting high-quality data to improve AI models.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or hands-on robotics experience in a technical field.
• Comfortable working with physical robotic hardware in a lab/industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to observe and document system behavior.
• Ability to stay focused during repetitive technical tasks over extended periods.
• Basic familiarity with Linux command-line tools.
• Some exposure to Python or scripting tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute closed-loop robotic model evaluation workflows in real-world environments.
• Perform robotic manipulation and operational tasks with high consistency and accuracy.
• Closely observe and document robot behavior, model performance, and edge cases.
• Maintain evaluation logs, notes, and performance records for engineering review.
• Identify and report inconsistencies, safety risks, and unexpected robot behaviors.
• Follow established workflows for setup, execution, and evaluation procedures.
• Capture and annotate operational data to support AI model training.
• Run Linux commands and basic scripts for workflow execution.
• Assist with hardware setup, calibration, and maintaining stable robot operation.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve evaluation quality and efficiency.
• Maintain lab organization and safety standards.
