Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read layouts and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate automatic welding equipment to weld metal pieces according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders.
• Position components preparatory to welding.
• Weld metal parts manually and with automatic welding machine.
• Perform minor maintenance to welding equipment (e.g. change tips).
• Weld straight seams with consistent acceptable results.
• Observe all standard safety practices and maintain records.
• May assist in safety initiatives or committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
