Job summary

Technique, Inc., a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility, is seeking a skilled welder to join our production team. You will set up the welder, perform GTAW and GMAW on mild steel and follow blueprints to ensure quality.

The role requires reading weld symbols, identifying materials, understanding fixture locations and performing wire/gas changes as needed. Shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with on-site work and physical demands described.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational training in STEM program or technical trades.
• 2 years welding experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.
• Read and apply basic weld symbols.
• Distinguish different material types.
• Understanding of weld fixture locations and return process.
• Change over wire and gas for regular operations.
• Set up and troubleshoot projection welder and change settings accordingly.
• Basic blueprint reading test.

Technique, Inc. is a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility offering the shortest lead-times and highest quality parts in the industry. We offer high-speed prototypes, ultra-low volume stampings, tubing and assemblies for production and emergency-based manufacturing for industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical and food processing.
