Job summary

UTLX Manufacturing Incorporated is seeking a Robotic Welding Coordinator to support, administer, and improve robotic welding across the facility. You will act as the primary technical resource for welding equipment, qualifications, and automated welding deployment, collaborating with Welding, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and Quality teams.

The role focuses on safety, compliance with WPS/QPR, and driving uptime through process development, operator training, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Welding Technology or related field; experience may substitute.
• Experience with robotic welding systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of MIG, SAW, FCAW processes and welding qualifications.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and effective training/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding systems in tank car manufacturing.
• Monitor welding processes and adjust parameters for quality and productivity.
• Maintain equipment settings, software, and operating documentation.
• Support startup, commissioning, and validation of new systems.
• Develop qualification records, test plates, and weld testing programs.
