Persona AI Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer to join the Applications team in Houston to own welding aspects of our humanoid robot platform.

You will develop motion paths for the welding robot and optimize parametric settings to ensure high-quality welds across materials and positions. The role requires 5+ years in welding operations for heavy equipment manufacturing, hands-on MIG, GMAW, and FCAW experience, and the ability to document processes for certification while operating with autonomy

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in welding operations for heavy equipment manufacturing.
• Hands-on MIG, GMAW and FCAW welding across materials and positions.
• Ability to document processes and support certification efforts.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and building processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine motion paths for the welding humanoid robot.
• Optimize weld parameters to minimize distortion and maximize penetration.
• Collaborate on standards and certification processes for the humanoid robot.
• Identify sensors and tooling for welding tasks.
• Translate welding knowledge into requirements for perception, manipulation, and controls teams.
