Job summary

Persona AI Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer to join the Applications team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on owning welding aspects of our humanoid robot platform, combining welding expertise with automation and robotics to advance the development cycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in welding operations within heavy equipment manufacturing, with hands‑on MIG, GMAW, and FCAW experience. You will shape welding processes and collaborate across perception, manipulation and controls teams.

Qualifications

Hands‑on experience with MIG, GMAW and FCAW welding processes.
5+ years in a welding operations role in heavy equipment manufacturing.
Ability to create documentation and reports for certification/qualification.
Comfort with building processes from scratch in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine motion paths for the welding humanoid robot.
Optimize weld parameters to maximize penetration and minimize distortion.
Collaborate on standards and certification processes for the humanoid robot.
Identify sensors and tooling for welding tasks.
Translate welding knowledge into requirements for perception, manipulation, and controls teams.
