Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a welder to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate and repair metal parts by applying welding techniques, following blueprints, and ensuring compliance with specifications.

The role requires basic welding knowledge, the ability to read shop drawings, and the stamina to lift up to 40 lbs. This is a non-exempt, on-site position with opportunities for skills development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to use measuring equipment.
• Ability to read shop drawings to weld basic products using GMAW.
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols and concepts.
• Ability to set up a welding machine per Welding Procedure Specification.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fits and welds product to specification.
• Reads and interprets blueprints for proper weld orientation using MIG or robotic welding equipment.
• Ensures welded parts meet blueprint requirements.
• Assists in other duties including material handling, housekeeping, safety committee activities, etc.
