Job description

Join Our Team as a Robotic Welder at Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc.

Our Beaver Dam facility is seeking Robotic Welders responsible for operating weld machines to fabricate metal parts or assemblies according to specifications, utilizing basic welding theory on a production basis.

Shift Options:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday
  • 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM, Saturday - Thursday
  • Part-time Youth Apprentice schedules are also available.
Responsibilities
  • Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) standards.
  • Inspect and measure machined workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Adjust machine controls as needed.
  • Unload welded parts and organize them appropriately.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components for welding.
  • Perform basic MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding techniques.
  • Verify finished work against specifications using measurement instruments.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in manual and robotic welding preferred.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • Knowledge of fixtures and welding setup parameters.
  • Basic computer skills related to the job.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and manuals.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats.
  • Proficiency in basic shop math and dimensional measurement.
  • Ability to work with various metals and metal forming constraints.
  • Experience with overhead crane operation is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work efficiently.
Physical Activity Expectations

Moderate to heavy physical effort required, including bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, standing, and walking. Vision abilities include close, peripheral, and depth perception, with focus adjustment.
