Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Robotic Weld Operator II who is responsible for operating, monitoring, and performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance on robotic welding equipment. This position requires a solid understanding of welding processes, quality standards, and robotic equipment operation in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience with robotic weld cells and demonstrates the ability to work independently while meeting production and quality requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and oversee robotic welding cells, ensuring parts are loaded, cycled, and unloaded properly
  • Perform inspections of welds using visual methods and measurement tools to verify quality against specifications
  • Adjust welding parameters and perform basic programming adjustments as needed to maintain weld quality
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions and quality issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, changing consumables, and verifying fixture alignment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
  • Document production and inspection data accurately
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Provide guidance and training to Robotic Weld Operator I personnel as needed

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of welding processes (MIG, resistance, etc.) and robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, OTC)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
