Job summary

WEBCO MFG is seeking a Robotic Weld Operator in Overland Park, KS to program (10%) and operate (90%) automated welding robots, boosting production capacity and quality. You will work with the team to transfer new products to robotic welding and design fixtures for efficient, flexible welding.

The role requires knowledge of robotics and welding, plus problem-solving and analytical abilities. We offer an employee-owned, air-conditioned shop with strong benefits and growth paths.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Robotic Welding or related role preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of robotics and welding.
• Excellent creativity, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to engage in advanced mathematical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Programming (10%) and operating (90%) automated welding robots.
• Provide general programming and engineering support to robotic welding operations.
• Optimize current robotic welding programs to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
• Follow defined weld schedules.
• Increase robotic weld utilization by transitioning manual welding to robotic cells.
• Collaborate with customers and teams to transfer new products to welding equipment.
• Design fixtures to enable productive and flexible welding of parts.
• Provide training and documentation for the welding team.
• Work with maintenance to define preventative maintenance schedules.
