Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Weld & Automation Specialist to support automated welding systems and robotics within our manufacturing environment. You will work with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production to maintain uptime and drive process improvements, including new equipment launches and weld parameter optimization.

The role requires hands-on experience with robotic welding, PLCs, and automation controls, with a focus on safe, reliable production and cross-functional teamwork across

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Welding Technology or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with robotic welding systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding systems.
• Assist with weld process development and optimization in automated environments.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic weld cells and automation equipment.
• Ensure safety and documentation compliance for robotic systems.
