Job summary

Symbotic seeks an Automation General Manager to lead on-site operations at a customer distribution center, driving operational excellence and guaranteeing safe, reliable performance of the robotic material-handling system.

You will manage day-to-day operations, build a high-performing team, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with the Customer Operations group to meet service and financial commitments. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of functional management and 5+ years of direct leadership.
• Experience in logistics, material management, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of operational metrics and performance management.
• Willingness to travel and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day automation operations and production management at the site.
• Analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive performance improvements.
• Own the site operating plan and coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Coach and develop the site operations team and promote safety and quality.
• Ensure safety compliance, LOTO protocols, and process discipline.
