Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle is seeking a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join a high-volume team performing complex procedures including robotic lung resections and esophagectomies. The role emphasizes patient-centered care in a collaborative, education-focused environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to tumor boards, research, and ongoing medical education, with a 1.0 FTE commitment and shared call duties within a collegial team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification (or BE) in Thoracic Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery).
• Fellowship or advanced training in thoracic surgery preferred.
• Ability to obtain Washington state medical license.
• DEA with full prescriptive authority.
• BLS and ACLS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
