Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in automation controls programming.
  • Hands-on with Fanuc robotics programming and RSLogix/Studio 5000.
  • Experience with HMI/GUI development (FactoryTalk View) and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Program, test, and commission Fanuc robots using RoboGuide and pendant programming.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLC programs.
  • Configure and program HMIs/GUI systems for operator interfaces.
  • Create and maintain electrical wiring diagrams and documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and customers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, debug, and commission automation projects.
  • Provide ongoing support and training for installed systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and Tidas’s engineering practices.

Overview

Tidas Automation, a fast-growing provider of automation solutions across packaging, plastics, medical device, food & beverage, automotive, and other industries, is seeking a full-time Robotic & PLC Controls Programmer . This role is key to developing and commissioning robotic and control systems for our projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer experienced with Fanuc robotics, Allen Bradley PLCs, and HMI/GUI programming , who thrives both in the field and the office.

Key Resposanilities
  • Program, test, and commission Fanuc robots using RoboGuide and pendant-based programming.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLC programs for automated systems.
  • Configure and program HMIs/GUI systems for operator interfaces.
  • Create and maintain electrical wiring diagrams and documentation to support installations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and customers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, debug, and commission automation projects (domestic and international, as required).
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and troubleshooting for installed systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and Tidas’s engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in automation controls programming.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    – Fanuc Robotics programming and integration
    – Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix / Studio 5000)
    – HMI/GUI development (FactoryTalk View or similar)
  • Proficiency with electrical schematic creation (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial automation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer sites to commission projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers, and teammates.
