Job summary

UNC Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Clayton, NC seeks an MD/DO Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time role. Join a stable team and perform robotic-assisted surgeries using the CORI System, with a clinic/OR alternating schedule.

Fellowship in Total Joint is essential to handle complex cases. Opportunities to engage with high school athletics are available; group currently does not need sports medicine or shoulder/elbow fellows. Competitive benefits are offered, onsite work expected.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained in Total Joint (Adult Reconstruction/hip & knee arthroplasty) to meet patient-care needs.
• Fellowship training is essential to ensure advanced clinical judgment and operative skill for complex primary/revision cases.
• Opportunities to support local High School athletic teams and events.
• There are no current needs within the group for fellows in sports medicine or shoulder/elbow.

Responsibilities

• Alternating schedule between clinic and OR.
• Clinic hours: Monday – Friday; 7:45 am – 12 pm / 7:45 am – 5 pm (as applicable).
• Call: participate in unassigned hospital call, 1:7 or 1:8, as well as practice call rotation.
