Job summary

UNC Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Clayton, part of UNC Health Medical Group, is seeking an MD/DO Orthopedic Surgeon to join full-time. The practice includes Total Joint/Hip & Knee arthroplasty specialists and a small team of surgeons and APPs, with robotic-assisted surgery via CORI.

The role offers a competitive salary, generous sign-on, full benefits, PTO, malpractice coverage, and a 403B plan. Clinic hours are 7:45am–5pm (Fri until 12pm) with alternating clinic/OR duties.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon to meet complex patient-care needs.
• Experience with primary and revision total joint procedures preferred.
• Evidence-based techniques and clinical judgment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Join an existing team of two Orthopedic Surgeons and APPs in a full-time schedule.
• Alternating clinic and OR with standard hours and on-site work.
• Manage call coverage including unassigned hospital and practice rotation.
• Support local athletic teams and supervise APP(s).
