Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in Alabama is seeking a skilled Polishing Technician to perform robotic and hand polishing/buffing on our medical devices, ensuring cosmetic and blueprint specifications are met. You will load/unload parts in the robots, change belts and wheels, maintain equipment, and perform final buffing as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of orthopedic polishing experience, and be capable of reading blueprints; robotic CNC experience is a plus and

Qualifications

• One year of orthopedic polishing or buffing experience.
• Robotic CNC experience preferred.
• Certified inspection techniques within 30 days of start.
• Proficient blueprint reading and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts in the robots.
• Change belts and wheels to achieve proper finish.
• Maintain all equipment in the department.
• Perform final buff on parts requiring additional work after robot finish.
