Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in Indiana is seeking a polishing technician to perform robotic and hand polishing/buffing on Zimmer Biomet products, ensuring cosmetic and blueprint specifications are met.

You will load/unload parts into robots, change belts and wheels, maintain equipment, and perform final buffing for parts needing extra finish. The role requires reading blueprints, inspecting with micrometers, calipers, comparators and gauges, and working with a team in a cellular environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year experience in orthopedic polishing or buffing using a variety of metals, or an equivalent education/experience.
• Robotic CNC experience is preferred.
• Certification in inspection techniques within 30 days of start date.

What You Can Expect

Responsible for performing all robotic and hand polishing/buffing operations on Zimmer Biomet products using abrasive belts, buffs, compounds, and greases to attain the required cosmetic and blueprint specifications on the product.

Your Background

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have one year experience of orthopedic polishing or buffing using a variety of metals; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Robotic CNC experience preferred.
