Job summary

Yeti to Work is seeking a Robotic Engineer to join our client in the Highland Park, MI area for a 1st shift/day role. You will program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots and automation systems, leading integration and commissioning of new cells and vision subsystems.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 2+ years of hands-on robotics experience, with proficiency in FANUC/ABB/KUKA/UR robots, PLCs, and CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in robotics or related engineering field.
• 2+ years hands-on industrial robotics or automation experience.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or UR robots.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics; CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots, cobots, and automated tooling.
• Lead the integration and commissioning of new robotic cells, conveyors, end-of-arm tooling, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot automation-related downtime and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time, quality, throughput, and equipment reliability.
• Work with PLCs, sensors, controls, and other automation equipment to support integrated manufacturing systems.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams on automation upgrades and equipment improvements.
• Develop and maintain schematics, programming standards, preventive maintenance documentation, and other technical documentation.
• Train production and maintenance personnel on robotic equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety.
• Ensure robotic and automation systems meet applicable safety requirements and standards.
