Job summary

Hoag Health in Orange County, CA seeks a full-time General/Acute Care Surgeon to join our Newport Beach/Irvine program. You will perform a full range of general and acute care surgeries, using MIS and robotic techniques, in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellent outcomes.

Compensation includes base salary plus production bonus, comprehensive benefits, malpractice tail coverage, and access to state-of-the-art facilities in Irvine and Newport Beach. CA license required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
• Active California medical license (unrestricted) and CA DEA license.
• Strong surgical skills, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and visuospatial awareness.
• Excellent decision-making and ability to counsel patients.

Responsibilities

• Examining patients and diagnosing illnesses and injuries.
• Performing surgeries and leading the surgical team.
• Maintaining up-to-date medical records and test results.
• Developing preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative plans.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care.
• Providing post-surgical care and follow-up.
• Adhering to policies, safety and infection control standards.
