Cardinal-Scale Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Robot Welder Operator in Webb City, MO. The role involves layout, setup, and operation of robotic welding systems per blueprints and work orders, with shifts on 1st and 2nd.

The position entails maintaining programs, performing maintenance, and ensuring weld quality per engineering specs. Expect a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri) with potential overtime. Requires a High School diploma; 5+ years manufacturing and 3 years programming/operation of robotic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years manufacturing experience and three years programming and operation of robotic welders and plasma cutting equipment preferred.
• Previous CNC robotic welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose issues in robotic systems, collaborating with programmers and staff.
• Install, operate, and maintain robots and equipment such as controllers and end-of-arm tooling.
• Train other robot operators at management discretion.
• Ensure programs and revisions are maintained and follow ISO documentation.
• Review data sheets daily to identify missed welds and errors, updating programs as needed.
• Ensure welds meet engineering specifications and are optimized.
• Back up all programs per work instruction and maintain records.
• Perform preventive and curative maintenance on robotic systems and components.
• Maintain service records for automated production systems.
• Adhere to safety and a positive team environment.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $25.50 Hourly

Summary/ObjectiveThe Robot Welder Operator is responsible for the layout, fitting, setting up, and operation of the robotic welding systems specified by the blueprints and work orders.

Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Identifies problems and issues in robotic systems, communicating with robotics programmers, specialists, or other staff to diagnose and understand issues.
• Installs programs, operates and maintains robots and equipment such as controllers, end-of-arm tooling, and conveyors.
• Training other robot operators at managements discretion
• Ensure programs and revisions are maintained, and all work instructions are followed, as stated in the ISO documentation.
• Reviewing data sheets each day to identify missed welds, configuration errors, and poor welds, and resolve by updating programs
• Ensure welds meet the specifications designed by engineering, and weld patterns are correct and optimized.
• Ensure data sheets are turned in as required or notify the supervisor for assistance.
• Ensure all programs are backed up per the work instruction.
• Performs operator preventive and curative maintenance on robotic systems and components.
• Maintains service records for automated production systems and robotic equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Verification that finished work is in conformance.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communication in a cohesive manner with management and peers.
• Behave in a safe manner and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of mechanical repair, computer programming, and electric circuit design.
• Basic understanding of programming code used to control devices.
• Thorough understanding of diagnostic and repair tools including oscilloscopes and multi-meters.
• Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers and electronics schematics.
• Thorough understanding of theoretical approaches to robotics engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete logs and reports.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
