Job summary

Triton Metal Products in Hamilton, IN is seeking a Robotic Weld Operator for night shift (8 pm–6 am). You will load/unload robot welding cells, measure parts, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances while maintaining safety and quality.

The role offers hourly pay ($18–$20 base, $1 night premium, possible extra $1.50/hour). Benefits include health/dental/vision, disability coverage, 401(k) with match after 60 days, paid holidays, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of MIG welding principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Able to use measuring tools (calipers, tape measure, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading robot welding cells.
• Measuring parts for conformance.
• Position, align, or secure workpieces against fixtures.
• Follow safety regulations such as proper PPE.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to verify parts are in tolerance.
• Maintain weld gauges and tooling; keep area clean and organized.
• Communicate production/safety/maintenance needs through appropriate channels.

Full Job Description:

• Loading and unloading robot welding cells
• Measuring parts for conformance
• Position, align, or secure workpieces against fixtures
• Follow strict safety regulations such as proper PPE and equipment operation
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to verify parts are in tolerance
• Maintain weld gages and tooling for cleanliness and proper storage or use
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily
• Provide accurate and timely communication to designated Tritons regarding production, safety, or maintenance requirements through ECR's and verbal/written contact.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to help fellow team members achieve production goals
• Previous metal fabrication or welding experience
