Iris Software Inc. is seeking a Robot Test Automation Framework Tester for a long-term contract in a fully remote role based in Columbia, MD.

The candidate will design, build, and maintain keyword-driven automated test scripts using Python and the Robot Framework to validate software quality. Responsibilities include framework and script development, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), and defect tracking with Jira.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Framework & Script Development: Build, scale, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework libraries.
• Execution & CI/CD Integration: Run automated tests locally or integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Defect Tracking: Log bugs in tracking tools (Jira) and verify fixes.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, product owners, and manual QA teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to define test coverage and acceptance criteria.

Robot Test Automation Framework Tester

Location - Columbia, MD ( 100 % Remote ).

Multiple Rounds of Interview including coding.

A Robot Test Automation Framework Tester designs, builds, and maintains keyword-driven automated test scripts using Python and the Robot Framework to validate software quality.

Key Responsibilities

Framework & Script Development: Build, scale, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework libraries (such as Selenium Library for web or Requests Library for APIs).

Execution & CI/CD Integration: Run automated tests locally or integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (like Jenkins or GitLab) to support continuous testing.

Defect Tracking: Identify test failures, debug root causes, log bugs in tracking tools (like Jira), and verify fixes.

Collaboration: Work with developers, product owners, and manual QA teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to define test coverage and acceptance criteria.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Linux environments.

Framework Experience: Hands-on experience with Robot Framework and its keyword-driven approach.

Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git) and bug tracking software (Jira).
