Job summary

Our client, a leading organization in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Robot Programmer Fanuc to join their team in Wixom, MI. The role supports production and automation teams within the Manufacturing Engineering Department.

You'll develop and modify FANUC robot programs, assist with startup and commissioning, troubleshoot programs and networks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years FANUC robot programming experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience using FANUC HandlingTool, SpotTool, ArcTool and PaintTool.
• Proficiency with startup, commissioning and debugging of robot systems.
• Strong knowledge of GM GRS standards and automotive practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify FANUC robot programs per GM GRS standards and customer requirements.
• Program, configure and optimize robotic applications including material handling, welding and assembly operations.
• Support robot installation, startup, commissioning and production launches.
• Troubleshoot and debug robot programs, networks and integrated automation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality and production standards.

• Develop and modify FANUC robot programs in accordance with GM GRS standards and customer requirements.
• Program, configure, and optimize robotic applications including material handling, spot welding, arc welding, sealing, assembly operations, and machine tending.
• Support robot installation, startup, commissioning, and production launch activities.
• Troubleshoot and debug robot programs, communication networks, and integrated automation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robotic systems meet safety, quality, and production standards.

What's Needed?

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3+ years of FANUC robot programming experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and modifying programs using FANUC HandlingTool, SpotTool, ArcTool, PaintTool (as applicable).
• Proficiency in robot startup, commissioning, and debugging activities.
• Strong understanding of GM GRS standards and automotive manufacturing practices.
