Job summary

Kovari is seeking a Robot Operator in San Francisco to generate training data for our autonomy stack. You will perform hands-on robotic demonstrations, ensuring high-quality data and consistent results across tasks.

You will teleoperate robotic arms, follow control-system guidance, and contribute to multi-step assembly while maintaining strict adherence to metrics and quality standards. This role supports our robotics-driven production workflow and AI development.

• Comfort with repetitive, precision-focused work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Genuine interest in AI and robotics.
• Nice to have: robotics/automation experience, manufacturing or lab background, controller/gaming familiarity.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Robot Operator, you generate the training data that powers our autonomy stack. Every task you demonstrate teaches our systems how to operate in the physical environments where Kovari's businesses run. This is hands-on work with cutting-edge robotic systems, executing diverse tasks to high standards of quality and consistency.

What You'll Do

• Teleoperate robotic arms across a range of tasks using our control systems
• Lead movements directly (the robot mirrors your actions) or guide robots via specialized controllers
• Execute tasks from everyday manipulation (folding, sorting, picking and placing) to multi-step assembly
• Maintain rigorous data quality and consistency across every demonstration
• Hit established volume and quality metrics each shift
• Review and annotate robot-performance videos; provide detailed feedback
• Assist with equipment setup and process improvements as needed

This is a metrics-based role involving repetitive task execution. Data quality is critical to our success.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift (8 hours, 30-min lunch + two paid breaks):

• Morning: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT

Patterns: Mon-Fri · Minimum 5 days/week

Compensation: $25/hour + benefits
