Job summary

Fives DyAG Corp. is seeking a Robot Engineer/Programmer to join our Wixom, MI team. You will design and manage robotic cells, program robots, and align with engineers to deliver reliable automation solutions on site.

The role requires hands-on experience with FANUC, ABB, or KUKA systems, plus proficiency in vision systems and electrical troubleshooting. Expect travel up to 75% as projects span multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working with robotics.
• Able to read Electrical and Pneumatic Prints.
• Experience with FANUC iRVision (2D or 3DV/L) preferred.
• Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with Robotic Path Teaching.
• Understanding of Cartesian coordinates for EOAT/Frames.
• Travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Write Robot Software and load robot programs.
• Set up and configure I/O and robot communications.
• Develop robotic simulations of stations.
• Perform path teaching and vision teaching when required.
• Provide debugging and production support with the team.

Fives DyAG Corp. is looking for a Robot Engineer / Programmer to join our team based out of our Wixom, MI office.
Fives DyAG's engineers work in a variety of environments and locations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, sound experience and people-skills, to effectively solve issues as they arise.
Job Description:

• Strong and recent background in two of the following robots: Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka.
• Able to do Advanced Programming in the two robots they have the most knowledge. Will consider candidates with strong programming with only one system as well.
• Experience with setup and training on Vision Systems on which ever robot they have the most knowledge is ideal.
• Experience setting up various robot communication protocols (i.e. DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet IP).
• Create Robotic Simulations of Robotic Stations (if Simulation Engineer)
• Write Robot Software
• Load Robot Programs and configure I/O
• Path Teaching
• Vision Teaching (if required)
• Debug Support with Team
• Production Support

Skills/Experience Required:

• 2+ years of working with robotics
• Able to read Electrical and Pneumatic Prints.
• Previous experience with FANUC iRVision (2D or 3DV/L) is highly preferred
• Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Very proficient with Robotic Path Teaching.
• Complete understanding of Cartesian coordinate system as it relates to a robot's EOAT & Frames/Work Objects, and the ability to teach such frames.
• Experience with Vision Systems is helpful.
• Ability to do basic/intermediate programming in other programming languages (i.e. Visual Basic, C or C++ language).
• Troubleshooting experience with PLC programs is helpful.
• Willing to travel (sometimes this can be up to 75%)

Education:
Associates or Bachelor of Science in related field (BSEE, BSEET, BS Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechatronics, etc.). Equivalent years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
