Position Overview:
Primary responsibility is to maintain, repair and overhaul all types of equipment and powered industrial trucks (gas, electric, or propane), including but not limited to forklifts, turrets, order pickers, reach trucks, electric and manual jacks, battery changer, and other machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform related duties as assigned by maintenance manager and facility director.
2. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
3. Ability to learn, read and understand operating manuals, blueprints and drawings.
4. Diagnose and identify malfunctions. Repair forklifts, turrets, order pickers, reach trucks, electric jacks, golf carts, and other warehouse vehicles.
5. Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
6. Test drive repaired equipment before turning over to operators.
7. Type records of vehicle maintenance and parts usage into database.
8. Get quotes and order repair parts from outside vendors.
9. Use trades type tools or hand tools.
10. Inspect and test equipment at prescribed intervals of time or usage, or because of breakdown or malfunction.
11. Maintain electrical systems and controls.
12. Disassemble, inspect and replace worn or broken parts. Grind and fit parts as required to maintain or overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, steering devices, brakes and wheels, lifts, hoists and hydraulic systems.
13. Change batteries or propane tanks as determined by vehicle design. Charge batteries and maintain battery fluid at prescribed level. Clean battery connectors.
14. Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment noted and corrective action taken.
15. Repaint vehicles.
16. Organize and self-direct work.
17. Keep work area clean.
