Job summary

Dreams 2 Reality Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for our Roanoke, Virginia project portfolio. The role focuses on designing and delivering HVAC systems for educational, civic, arts, and commercial facilities, requiring collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a Virginia PE license, have 7–10 years of engineering experience, and be proficient in load calculations and energy modeling tools.

Qualifications

• PE license required in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• 7–10 years of professional engineering experience preferred.
• Strong HVAC design experience for commercial/complex buildings.
• Experience with design load calculations and energy modeling tools such as TRACE and COMcheck.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for various building types.
• Perform and review HVAC design calculations and analyses.
• Use design load calculations and energy modeling software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors.
• Communicate project requirements and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Support project planning to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Review plans and documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineering staff.
