Job summary

Petroleum Marketing Group, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to oversee two Hampstead, NC convenience stores. You will direct staff, manage inventory, cash controls and safety standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include training, supervising cashiers, maintaining cleanliness and stock, and ensuring compliance with PMG policies. Compensation starts at $15 per hour, full-time schedule with flexibility; two Hampstead locations listed.

Duties and Responsibilities

*Includes, but not limited to:

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional experience on an ongoing basis


• Operate cash register, according to PMG standards, surrounding cash handling, record keeping, and paperwork


• Ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable


• Execute daily store tasks with speed, accuracy, and efficiency


• Reports to the store in emergency situations:


• Break-in, robbery, alarm setting, failure of staff to lock up and set alarm, etc.


• Remain drug free and submit to random drug screens


• Conduct or delegate cigarette inventory counts, trend sheets, and any other reports prescribed by upper management


• Follow and adhere to all policies regarding vendor check in procedures, inventory reporting procedures, employee discipline procedures and employee handbook procedures


• Communication of daily issues/challenges with Management


• Ensure PMG policies and procedures surrounding Safety and Operational Excellence are executed


• Perform work with Integrity, Honesty, and Respect


• Support Management with other assigned tasks


• Maintenance of business records and inputs all sales data into the computer system provided


• Manages the operations of the store including but not limited to:


• Cleanliness, customer service, inventory rotation, adequate stocking, ordering, and any other direct request from management


• Assists cashiers in sales transactions and operates a shift to include stocking, cash register, cleaning and any other duties prescribed to the cashiers


• Supervise the maintenance of the parking lot, gasoline pumps, trashcans, lighting and general machinery necessary to operate a convenience store
