Job summary

Founders 3 Real Estate Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician/Building Engineer to serve as a roaming maintenance professional supporting properties throughout the greater Milwaukee area. This role covers urgent service requests, routine site responsibilities, and onboarding of new properties.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in building operations with supervisory experience, plus strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building operations, engineering, or maintenance.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems (boilers, heat pumps, cooling towers, air handlers).
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Familiarity with life safety, fire protection, and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to on-demand service requests and emergencies across properties.
• Document and maintain logs of building mechanical systems and inspections.
• Oversee and support site-specific preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate vendor bids, contracts, and cost control.
• Assist with onboarding and transitioning new properties into management.
• Maintain clear communication with property managers, staff, ownership groups, and boards.
