Job summary

raSmith is seeking an Entry Level Roadway/Utility Construction Inspector to monitor contractor activities, support the Construction Manager, and prepare daily reports for projects nationwide from Wisconsin offices.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade I Certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
• 0–1 years of construction inspection experience on municipal or DOT roadway and underground utility projects.
• Experience monitoring the activities of contractors on construction sites to verify that work is in accordance with contract documents is helpful.
• Some computer experience and some survey experience is preferred.
• U.S.-based work experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of contractors on construction sites to verify work meets contract documents.
• Assist the Construction Manager with coordination of all construction activities and daily inspections.
• Maintain and submit inspection reports on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
