Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Job Title: Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)

  • Work Location: Atlanta, GA (Douglas County)***

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of on-site quality control tests, inspections, and project-specific observations/evaluations
  • Monitor and inspect roadway construction to ensure overall compliance regarding plans, safety, and contract requirements
  • Conduct record-keeping to ensure all necessary observations are documented
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives
  • Interpret and work from drawings and specifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant roadway testing
  • Candidate should be a Georgia Department of Transportation RTT Certified Technician
  • ACI certification is required
  • Radiation safety training for the use of Nuclear Density Gauge is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable

Physical Requirements

  • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
  • Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
