Job summary

American Structurepoint in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer to join our Road Engineering Group. You will work on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties, gaining hands-on experience from design to construction.

Recent graduates with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and up to 4 years of relevant experience will contribute to quantity takeoffs, plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, and construction cost estimates while receiving onboarding,

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience, such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and layout of roadway alignments, both horizontal and vertical.
• Contribute to geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic.
• Help develop construction plan sets, preparing for bidding and construction.
• Perform quantity calculations to support bid plans and cost estimates.
• Explore pavement analysis, design, and utility coordination for a well-rounded experience.
• Take on project support tasks from concept to construction.
