Job summary

American Structurepoint in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer for the Road Engineering Group. You will work with a close-knit team on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties across Indiana.

You'll gain hands-on experience from design through construction, including plan sets in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates, while receiving onboarding and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway design layout, horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Involve in geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic.
• Help develop construction plan sets for bidding and construction.
• Perform quantity calculations to support bid plans and cost estimates.
• Explore areas like pavement analysis, design, and utility coordination.
• Take on project support tasks from concept to construction.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Structurepoint's Road Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN ! In this role you’ll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Indiana. Most of your work will take place in the office , with occasional site visits , as you assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions, rural maintenance, and roundabouts, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation projects.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 0-4 years of relevant experience, such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level engineering roles
