Job summary

American Structurepoint's Road Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer in North Texas. You will join a close-knit team on roadway projects for TXDOT, cities, towns, and counties, assisting with design, documentation, and cost estimates.

Most work is in the office with occasional site visits; you'll gain hands-on experience in geometry, drainage, pavement markings, and coordination across disciplines while building a foundation for a rewarding career.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and layout of roadway alignments, both horizontal and vertical.
• Get involved in geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic.
• Help develop construction plan sets, gaining experience in bidding and construction prep.
• Perform quantity calculations to support bid plan development and construction cost estimates.
• Explore pavement analysis, design, and utility coordination for broader experience.
• Take on a variety of project support tasks, learning how transportation engineering projects come to life.
• Other duties as assigned
