The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in heavy civil construction, understands site instructions, and can work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining equipment readiness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in roads, highways, and bridges.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate roller to compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop to target grade.
• Read grade stakes and use grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Determine speed and direction for smooth grade and surface.
• Coordinate with crew using hand signals and maintain safety.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on roller.
• Maintain equipment and prepare for transport when needed.
