Description

Are you a skilled Roadway Engineer ready to take the lead on high-impact limited-access roadway design projects for clients such as FDOT & CFX? DRMP is seeking a dynamic professional to serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and drive innovative transportation solutions. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for roadway engineering, a deep understanding of Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and expertise in FDOT Design Criteria. As a key player at DRMP, you’ll lead roadway projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion. Your Primary Responsibilities will include:

  1. Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for FDOT roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with FDOT, AASHTO, and applicable design standards.
  2. Lead the design, analysis, and development of roadway plans using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and FDOT CADD standards.
  3. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of roadway projects including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
  4. Collaborate with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
  5. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
  6. Support DRMP’s business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations for FDOT projects.

What you'll need:

  1. Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
  2. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
  3. 5+ years of transportation roadway design experience
  4. Limited Access Experience (desired)
  5. Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer
  6. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables while meeting deadlines
  8. Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
