Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Roadway Design team in St. Louis. The role targets a licensed Professional Engineer with roadway design experience who wants to grow professionally within a 100% employee-owned firm.

You will support design delivery, prepare proposals and budgets, perform analyses, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor early-career staff on meaningful transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway design projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Perform engineering analyses and design. Prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, estimates, and other project deliverables.
• Apply engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.
• Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• May be involved in the development and mentorship of early-career engineers and technical staff.
