Roadway Project Engineer (Entry Level)

Oklahoma City Metro, Oklahoma

Garver is seeking an Entry-Level Roadway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Tulsa or South Oklahoma City, OK, to continue providing quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in designing and creating construction documents for various transportation projects.
  2. Work on roadway design components such as typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, safety features, and maintenance of traffic plans.
  3. Produce construction documents, including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
  4. Mentor and train junior engineers.
  5. Manage task assignments for junior engineers and technicians.
  6. Participate in marketing activities related to project procurement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI), or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience or internship in transportation-focused consulting engineering.
  • Experience with Microstation and Inroads/Open Roads.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO highway and traffic publications.
