Job summary

Lochmueller Group in St. Louis is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Roadway Design team. This licensed professional engineer role offers the chance to leverage extensive roadway design experience on meaningful transportation projects within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Responsibilities include planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects, proposal support, design calculations, and collaboration with clients, contractors, and regulators. Mentorship of junior engineers may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway design projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Perform engineering analyses and design.
• Prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, estimates, and other deliverables.
• Apply engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.
• Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• May be involved in the development and mentorship of early-career engineers and technical staff.
