Qualifications

• 8-12 years of roadway design experience is a plus.
• Experience on Illinois County or Local Agency projects preferred.
• Experience on Indiana DOT projects is a plus.

Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time Roadway Project Engineer with experience in Phase I to join our team. The selected candidate can work out of any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Crown Point, IN; Indianapolis, IN.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of project reports, preliminary engineering design, and cost estimates.
• Supervising engineers and technicians to achieve project completion.
• Collaborating with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Reviewing and checking engineering work completed by others.
• Maintaining positive client relations.
• Mentoring staff engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited school.
• 8-12 years of roadway design experience is a plus.
• Strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads projects.
• Experience on Illinois County or Illinois Local Agency projects is preferred.
• Experience on Indiana DOT projects is a plus.
