Job summary

Straight Edge Contractors in El Paso, TX is seeking an Asphalt Paving Crew Member (Raker / Roller Operator / Paver Operator) to join our field crew on commercial and municipal paving projects.

You will rake, roll, and pave asphalt, assist with setup and inspections, and help keep the site safe and efficient. Experience in raking, rolling, or paving is preferred; valid driver's license is a plus. Competitive pay based on experience and year-round work.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following: Asphalt raking, Asphalt roller operation, Asphalt paver operation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends when required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Rake and lute hot mix asphalt to achieve proper grade and finish.
• Operate asphalt rollers to meet compaction specifications.
• Operate asphalt pavers on commercial and roadway paving projects.
• Assist with paving setup, cleanup, and daily equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Work closely with the foreman and crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to quality standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
