Job summary

Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Maintenance Worker I to perform highway maintenance and repair duties within the county road system. You will operate trucks and heavy equipment, conduct inspections, and support drainage and repair projects under supervision.

The role requires a CDL Class A, basic OSHA knowledge, and a Florida-like emphasis on safety while performing tasks across municipalities; overtime and variable hours may apply depending on weather events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience operating trucks and heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of highway maintenance practices and safety regulations a must.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and heavy equipment to maintain roads, culverts, bridges, and drainage structures.
• Perform inspections of equipment and fluid levels before/after use.
• Reposition catch basins and repair field tiles for drainage.
• Provide traffic control and flagging at road sites.
• Perform snow removal and various maintenance tasks as needed.
